Ay! What a weekend! Dios Mio (My God, for our non latino friends)!! I'm tired. As some of you already heard, the outcome for my wonderful cat Sasha was not good. We had to put him to sleep on Friday, he had leukemia. I miss my cat and I didn't realize how bad it was really going to affect me. I can't bring myself to empty his food and water bowls. Then we get hit with this freak winter storm in October! What's up with that? Are my kids going to have to go trick or treating in the snow???
This is a pic of my front lawn Saturday afternoon! Mind you it kept snowing all night. We ended up getting a total of 16".
I'm not ready to give up my FALL FASHION! I just started. I was wearing an awesome hat that I bought from the GAP outlet yesterday which was drenched. That's my hat over on the right there, I got it for under $5! I also rocked my Type Z Arcadia suede boots (which I got for a mega steal on 6pm.com, I'll talk about those another time).
At this point in time, I think I just need to breathe. I have this uncontrollable urge to clean my house, like I need to just clean out all of the stress and let in a cool, clean breeze. Unfortunately, I would need at least two to three days off, just to accomplish what I'd like, so like the rest of us working moms, we just have to take it one day at a time and know that we are not alone and we can only be the best us that we can be. That is all for now.

The Sashkowitz......
So, I'm trying to keep my spirit light and write about something light and fun, but unfortunately my mind and heart is with my Sasha. Sasha is my cat and he's 2 years old. He was admitted in the animal hospital last night and is very sick. He's not diagnosed so I'm hoping for the best, but fearing the worst.
I must say that I was never a "cat person". In fact, I was really skeeved by most cats. Until this little kitty entered my life. It was an October (I just noticed I'm only on my 4th blog and this is the month of October, and this is the second story that I will recount about October!) and we were at Jonah's soccer game. A bunch of the children were playing with this little Kitty who was running and jumping all over the place and letting the children pick him up. He was adorable. (All kittens are adorable) I assumed that he belonged to someone because he let all of the children pick him up and play with him so readily. Anyhoo, as everyone started to clear out of the park, I noticed that no one took him. Jonah was so taken with him and he asked, "Where's his Mommy?" As soon as Jonah uttered those words, he immediately started pulling on my heart strings.
I explained to Jonah that he had to stay in the park so that his mommy could find him, but he kept following us. He followed us all the way to the parking lot where he almost got hit by a car. That was it! I picked him up and put him in the car. The thought of him running out in to traffic was too much for me. And just like that, we had a new member of the family.
***Update, Sasha has been laid to rest today. RIP 10/28/2011

Fashion for under $100!!
Yes ladies, just because you are a Mom, busy, and on a budget you too can look hot & classy on a budget. This outfit that I put together for my husband's company dinner dance was, are you ready?? UNDER $100!!! Ok, let me break it down for you. I was browsing an Avon catalog and came across this dress. I thought the dress was very cute, it's Mark and was $30. I took a shot and ordered it. Next I came across these amazing shoes by City Streets on JCP.com and they were also $30. I found the accessories on People Style Watch Must Haves also on JCP.com the choker was $17.99 and the cat earrings were only $7.99. I slapped on a thin black belt from my closet and voila! There you have it. A great outfit for a night on the town for a whopping total of about 86 Bucks. So now tell me......What do you think??

Wednesday's Random Confession
Ok, this week's random confession has to do with my profile pic. It was a beautiful morning late October in 2010. I had recently purchased my house. I was completely stressed out with all of the unpacking and goings-on. I wanted to take advantage that I was up so early and take a Good shower. (Any mom knows what I mean when I say GOOD shower, I hope..) Before I got in the shower, I put my hair in a ponytail, suddenly I felt like my hair weighed about 30 pounds and like everything else, it was a problem that needed solving. So I scoured the house for a pair of scissors, came back to the bathroom and chopped my hair off. I call this a Psycho-mom moment. So, to say the very least I had a horrible haircut and I had to deal with it for several months (like a good 8 or 9) because I was too embarrassed to go to the hair salon to fix it. But at that very moment, when that hair was chopped off and as I washed my hair I felt this huge amount of relief. I had felt like I lost weight and some pressure was literally lifted off of my shoulders. Ahh, just another day in the life of a Mad Mommy.

How should I begin?
Well, hello there blog world! Where to begin? My name is Londi, I'm wife to a NYC firefighter and mother to 4 boys ages range from 16 - 3. I also work full time as a Director at a local not for profit healthcare company. Not to mention I am the official cleaner, cooker, gardener, decorator, organizer, nurse, and homework helper in my household. (Just to name a few) I thought I'd start writing this blog because I know there are many of us out there who like me just seem to be going nuts just trying to hold it all together and figure we should share and see how we seemingly crazy, maybe sometimes a little bit obsessive moms, wives, and all women cope and manage in our day to day.
What are my interest? (In no particular order...just the way they came out of my head)
1. I LOVE fashion, especially fall fashion. I can't afford top designers so I love to find great deals and also bring my old threads to life with new trends. I love getting complements on an outfit I put together on a low budget.
2. I love decorating/design. I've been in my current home for only a year and still have so much to do.
3. I love reading on my porch. (How much of this do you think I get to do with 4 children, a cat, a husband, and a full time job??)
4. My latest OBSESSION is couponing. I started looking at my grocery bills and realized that I could probably pay a full time employee at WalMart for what I was paying in groceries on a monthly basis. Talk about MAD!!
5. I want to learn how to ride a motorcycle and will be taking lessons soon.
6. I love traveling and am fortunate to get to travel a couple of times a year even with 4 kids! I would like to start more international travel.
7. Love spending quality time with my family. My husband and boys make each day interesting and fulfilling and I count my blessings everyday for my family. (Yes, even after I've come close to a full on nervous break-down and crying session!)
Some of my favorite websites include:
6pm.com
JCPenney
CouponMom
Amazon
HGTV
I hope you'll come along with me on my crazy ride and share your craziness with me as well.
